In the city of Aucove, in the days wherein men had no televisions, there live a native doctor near the riverbank whose words were not easily understood by the people.
He was banished from the land because he was accused of selling a tortoise in the market (which thing was a taboo). The people of Aucove saw Tortoise as a sacred animal that deserves to be protected at all costs because it was believed that a tortoise could hear from the gods.
The absurdity of it all was that no one cared to investigate the matter. The king who slammed the judgement on him warned him not to enter the city again or mingle with the people! Now, Aucove was once a bustling city until war happened! Several people were killed and men taken away and the worst of all? The war was later proclaimed a "No victory, no vanquished" situation. So, they neither won nor lost but the environment said otherwise as the trails left by the echoes of the war left almost a desert behind! So, being privileged to be close to the only source of water supply in the city, was a thing of joy to Hadija's husband but whenever he remembered his misery which was as a result of mysterious things that happened to him after he declared his interest to take in another wife to Hadija.

So, it was a thing of joy to many women when their husbands want to take in new wives because it relieves them of several duties and also shows their husband's capabilities to take care of more people but to Hadija, that was a no go area. Before the heavens was let loose, Kemi could recall his last argument with her:
"Kemi Sola, we are not talking this again!" She yell.
"I know it hurts but you just have to endure it" He calmly replied, claiming to be the head of the family.
"Well, let's see how it goes" She boasted and slept off!
The following day, Kemi was picked up by the King's Special Squad for committing the untold harm of selling a tortoise in a nearby village at night! The person who claimed to have seen him as Ibuso, the son of Kelma the Hunter. That family is mysterious. Kelma married three wives and they all left him, he had 9 children but he neither feeds nor clothes them.
When the matter was taken to the King, he said, "Take this man away for he has constituted nuisance in this community for too long"
People wondered what the poor man did to deserve this but they were too scared to speak up! When Kemi was been led to the village stream to be executed, his wife ran out and was begging the king not to do that! She confessed that she had set Kemi up just to teach him a lesson. So, the King decided to let the man live after due consultations with his elders but because the PRONOUNCEMENT had gone out of his mouth, Kemi could not enter the land again.
Many years into his abyss, a thought struck Kemi deeply and it almost left him paralyzed:
"How on Earth did my wife leave my house at night to plan my downfall and I did not even notice it?" He asked.
Armed with this disturbing piece of information, he strategized on how to go back to the city and reclaim his mandate. Meanwhile, the King didn't want him around because he was known to always say the truth. That same king bought his throne with money and now wants his wife.
Let's clap for Hadija and her despicable heresies of the time!
